Section 2: Start-up Screen

Once you have selected your document settings, your screen will then look like this:

Though we will go over the different button options later, please note the cutting area and lines that are defined in the center portion of the screen and what they represent.

The Red lines represent your cutting area. All images or text you place onto your screen you wish to be cut during the cutting process will need to be placed within the red cutting area.

The Grey lines represent your paper area. Images will also need to fall within the paper area defined by these lines.

The outer Black lines represent the cutting mat. With smaller custom sizes, please note the entire cutting mat will not be displayed.

NOTE: The red cutting area lines and the grey paper lines are not lined up with each other when bypassing the "Use Carrier Sheet" option. You are not able to manually alter or move these. They are automatically defined by the "Document Settings" that have been selected. There are areas on the paper where the Silhouette may not be able to effectively cut, and so the area may fall outside of the red cutting area.
